Our History
It all began when I was looking to fill a position at work. One of my techs mentioned that his aunt was searching for a job, and the very next week she walked in for an interview. From the moment we met, I knew I was in trouble. Her beauty, intelligence, and grace completely disarmed me. Though I hired her for her experience, deep down I already felt something more. As time passed, our conversations moved beyond work and into life, dreams, and family.
Each exchange drew me closer to her, and I found myself wanting to know her in ways that went far beyond the office. One afternoon in the break room, she commented on how good my lunch smelled. That simple moment gave me the courage to invite her to dinner that Thursday —
she didn’t know it was my birthday,
or that the invitation was meant just for her.
That night, I set the scene: a warm fire, candlelight, and soft music.
We began with a spring mix salad of candied walnuts, tangerines, and vinaigrette, followed by salmon topped with crab, spinach, and potatoes drizzled in a light cream sauce.
I like to think that meal sealed her fate with me. Still, not knowing she’d be alone, she shared her location with her best friend as a precaution. In the end, no rescue was needed — only a wonderful evening filled with conversation that brought us even closer together. For a while, I kept my feelings hidden — being her manager made me hesitant. But when she told me she had accepted another job, I knew it was my last chance to open my heart. I asked to speak with her after work, and though she thought I was going to offer her a career opportunity,
what I offered instead was love.
Since that day, we’ve laughed, grown, and built a bond stronger than we could have ever imagined —
a journey that has brought us here, ready to say “I do” surrounded by those we love most.

is just beginning
